Humpty Dumpty

We have learned a few skills here including cutting, dying on wet strength cartridge with crayon resist, and folding paper to create a zigzag.

 Look below the Humpties and see one of our brand new heaters. We will be toasty and warm this winter! I wonder what colour the new paint will be. We will find out after the holidays.

We are learning to hold our pencil correctly, sit our letters on the line and form our letters correctly.

Ukelele

We are learning how to play one chord on the ukelele and strum.
See if we can remember to hold the ukelele body against our tummy, put our thumb on the velcro dot and our finger on the number one. Then see if we can strum in time.

Helping at home

Today we read a story called "Along Comes Jake." It is about a family helping each other do chores, and then along comes Jake the baby who just makes a big mess. The children shared what they do to help at home, with each other, then wrote stories. Here are some of their stories.

I help my mum with the dishes.

I help my Dad cook the cake.

I go to the shops to help my Mum.

I can do my own bed.

I make my bed for Mum. I hang my bag up.

I am going to tidy the garage.

I am cleaning my Dad's truck.

I clean the toilet with the brush.

I clean my room. I put my toys in my toy box.

I am doing dishes.

I help my Mum with the dishes. I do the cutlery.

I help Mum put my lunch box in my bag.

I am helping my Mum with the windows.

I am helping Mum with the star fish.

I am baking a cake with my Mum.

I help clean up the house.

Estuary Visit

Thank you so much to the wonderful parents who came and helped our children dig for crabs, find whelks and mud snails, and have a great experience at the estuary.

I imagine your children will be bugging you to take them back to see what they found. We just went to Lindoch Ave which is off Snodgrass Road. Nice and close!
