Cross Country Training

Te Puna School have their whole school cross country day on Tuesday the 29th of May.
Room 4 have been training nearly every day getting ready for school cross country.
We warm up before we run and cool down afterwards.
We do this to look after our muscles so we don't get hurt or too sore.
Here we are warming up and training.
Come and watch us on the 29th of May.  We would love you to be here at school to cheer us on.

Music with Mr E

We absolutely love going to see Mr E for music.
We have been learning about The Beatles this term and the awesome music that they made.
We know there were 4 members of the group - John, Paul, Ringo, and George.

Did you know they were so popular
- can you believe some girls even fainted when they saw them!

N is for... nest and necklace.

This morning we went for a walk to the native garden and found lots of sticks and leaves to use for making our nests.

We are learning about the letter 'Nn' this week and we know that Nest begins with n.
While some children made nests other children were busy creating beautiful necklaces - they used straws and feathers - gorgeous.

Welcome to 2018

Welcome to Ruma Wha (Room 4)

Ruma Wha are a class of 5 year olds who love, love, love to learn!
We have begun 2018 with a bang!
Our children are super clever and love learning.

We are Powerful learners

'Fly high like Butterflies'

We are learning that if we keep trying and trying things will get easier.

This means we know a little bit about being in the 'learning pit' and that some things take a long time to learn - such as learning to write stories and some things are quick to learn such as how to ride a bike.
But...of course it is different for everybody.
