Water Slide Fun Day

Thanks to our 'Principal for a Day" Aston Monk, all students got to have fun on the water slide.

Room 2 all took part and had lots and lots of fun slip sliding down the slide.

Healthy Sandwiches

The Junior School had fun on Thursday creating their very own healthy sandwiches

 - check out the photos!

There were lots of delicious toppings to choose from such as... ham, lettuce, egg, cheese, carrot, tomatoes, capsicum and cucumber.  

The children all made healthy choices and really enjoyed munching through their delicious sandwiches at lunch time.

Healthy Eating

Room 2 

are learning all about being 

Healthy Eaters.  

Today we looked at the Food Pyramid and worked out which foods are fruit and vegetables, 

proteins, carbohydrates, dairy and milk products, and treat foods.

The children all know which foods have too much sugar such as... 

biscuits, cakes, lollies, fizzy drinks.  They know these are treat foods and should only be eaten occasionally.

They also know that healthy foods like fruit and vegetables give our bodies energy and brain power.

 Ayla, Tyrese and Aysha use their clever brains to count and then write the correct numbers.

Indie is threading cord through holes to create a pattern, which looked fabulous.

Hello there, my name is Louise Phipps and I will be teaching in Room 2 this year.  I am looking forward to working alongside the children and learning about them as well as helping them to learn lots of fun and interesting stuff!
