Room 2 were so lucky today as we had 9 

Room 11 and 12 students come and listen to the Room 2 children read.  

We loved having the seniors to read to and we loved when they read to us as well.

Well done to Room 2 for taking some fabulous photos over several weeks

*We learned how to handle a camera carefully and safely by always using the wrist strap and being very careful when handling it, especially being careful with the lens by making sure it is closed when we are moving around.  

*We also learned about using the shutter button to achieve an in-focus photograph.

Te Puna Kindy visit

 We had a fun morning with the Te Puna kindy children visiting us.

We made cards, t-shirts and created cool things with blocks, playdough and our fabulous imaginations.
We also read to them our stories about what we like about school.

The Changing Seasons

Room 8 and Room 2 teachers decided to take their children for a walk to Maramatanga Park to check out the changing colours of the leaves.

  We knew the seasons had changed from Summer to Autumn but we wanted to see the changes that happen in nature.  The trees and their leaves looked beautiful.  We could all see the leaves were slowly changing colours from green to browns, yellows and reds. 

They were beautiful.  

We are so lucky to go to school in a place as beautiful as Te Puna.

Water Slide Fun Day

Thanks to our 'Principal for a Day" Aston Monk, all students got to have fun on the water slide.

Room 2 all took part and had lots and lots of fun slip sliding down the slide.

Healthy Sandwiches

The Junior School had fun on Thursday creating their very own healthy sandwiches

 - check out the photos!

There were lots of delicious toppings to choose from such as... ham, lettuce, egg, cheese, carrot, tomatoes, capsicum and cucumber.  

The children all made healthy choices and really enjoyed munching through their delicious sandwiches at lunch time.
